Commercial litigator Joel Gamino defends corporate clients in a variety of forums, including in arbitration, state courts and federal courts. Focused on the intricacies of civil procedure and the law, Joel successfully defends clients in actions involving claims under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, California’s Consumers Legal Remedies Act, and California’s Unfair Competition Law.

Joel’s practice includes a range of commercial litigation, contract and judgment enforcement, and pre-litigation counseling to help clients reduce the risks and liability exposure of legal claims.

While earning his law degree from Loyola Law School, Joel participated in the Poehls/Hobbs District Attorney Practicum, where he conducted felony preliminary hearings and strengthened his courtroom skills. Joel served as a law clerk to Chief Magistrate Judge Karen L. Stevenson in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.

    Acted as second chair at arbitration involving claims for breach of contract and violation of the CLRA and UCL, resulting in an award of all claims in client’s favor.
  • Secured Dismissal With Prejudice in Breach of Contract Claim
    Obtained a dismissal with prejudice of claimant’s breach of contract claim where claimant sought to dismiss claim without prejudice on the eve of trial, following earlier discharge of CLRA claim.
  • Small Claims Trial Preparation Results in Defense Verdict
    Prepared corporate witness in financial services case with regard to Fair Credit Billing Act, resulting in full defense victory.
