Chelsea Diaz is a skilled litigator who resolves commercial disputes – big or small. With over 15 years of experience, Chelsea guides clients through the litigation process. She serves as a key member of DAE’s financial services team, which defends clients against claims arising under California consumer protection statutes.
Whenever possible, Chelsea tries to prevent clients from experiencing the disruptions of protracted litigation. Her experience with California’s consumer protection laws and statutes includes:
- Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)
- Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (RFDCPA)
- Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)
- California Consumer Credit Reporting Agencies Act (CCRAA)
Chelsea is a graduate of LMU Loyola Law School and was elected to Order of the Coif and served on the editorial board of the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review.
In her counsel, Chelsea offers an understanding of the challenges faced by in-house legal counsel and teams. She has completed several secondments with a global financial institution client, where she gained valuable insights into business priorities and corporate legal operations.
