Ms. Messigian has worked as a management-side employment lawyer for nearly 20 years. She has provided strategic counsel in all aspects of California and federal labor and employment law, including in the areas of disability and religious accommodation, medical leaves of absence, parental leave and paid sick time, wage and hour compliance, workplace privacy, workplace investigations and background checks, arbitration agreements, restrictive covenants and severance, and all other issues pertaining to employee hiring, discipline and termination. She provides consultation and review of employment policies and procedures. She has defended hundreds of cases to successful resolution involving claims under the Fair Employment and Housing Act, the FMLA/CFRA, and the California Labor Code. She has also appeared regularly before the California DLSE and other state and federal administrative agencies.

Prior to joining DAE, Ms. Messigian was the Senior Director of Employee Relations at the National Football League where she was responsible for all employee relations matters for the NFL’s west coast operations.

Ms. Messigian obtained a J.D. from Georgetown University and a B.A. from UCLA.
