Amy Borlund practices in the areas of financial services litigation, general business litigation, commercial litigation, intellectual property, entertainment and entity formation and governance. She has worked for a wide variety of clients, ranging from international corporations to nonprofit corporations to individuals.

Amy’s practice includes the defense of claims in consumer lending matters, including claims relating to residential mortgages, credit cards and auto loans. She has also successfully represented clients in various general business litigation matters, with issues arising out of business dissolutions, breach of fiduciary duties, trade secrets, breach of contract and shareholder derivative claims.

In intellectual property litigation, Amy represents both plaintiffs and defendants in matters involving copyright, trademark, right of publicity and patent infringement.

Amy’s legal experience also includes the defense of major corporations in product liability, toxic tort and general negligence matters.

On the transactional side, Amy has formed LLCs as well as for-profit and nonprofit corporations,  drafting all organizational documents and advising companies as to governance issues.

Experienced in all aspects of litigation, Amy counsels her clients from pre-trial strategy through appeal. She has litigated cases in state and federal courts on her own and as part of two-person trial teams. Additionally, Amy resolves matters prior to trial and has negotiated highly favorable settlements and obtained dismissals of actions through demurrer, motions to dismiss and summary judgment.
