COURT/DATE: Los Angeles Superior Lancaster / February 7, 2012.

JUDGE: Hon. Brian C. Yep.

ATTORNEYS:
Plaintiff – Steve G. Fox (Law Offices of Steve G. Fox, Lancaster).

Defendant – Michael M. Amir, Amy I. Borlund (Doll Amir & Eley LLP, Los Angeles).

Plaintiff further alleged that, in reliance on defendants’ promises, he missed out on other job and investment opportunities. He sued for breach of contract and fraud. Defendants argued that they never made such promises to plaintiff and, in any event, the statute of limitations had long run on all of plaintiff’s claims.

DAMAGES: Plaintiff claimed damages in excess of $30 million.

SETTLEMENT DISCUSSIONS: Plaintiff demanded $30 million. Defendant offered no money.

RESULT: The defendant filed a motion for summary judgment. The court granted defendant’s motion, finding all of plaintiff’s claims time-barred.
