Jennifer Ro’s practice focuses on a broad array of complex commercial litigation matters with an emphasis in intellectual property and entertainment.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Ro represented technology and entertainment clients in copyright, trademark and trade secret disputes in both state and federal court. Ms. Ro has also counseled and represented various governmental entities and agencies in various litigation disputes, including breach of contract and labor and employment matters. Ms. Ro prosecuted civil enforcement actions as part of the Special Complex Litigation department of the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office, specializing in unfair competition and issues concerning California consumer protection. As a special prosecutor, Ms. Ro also first chaired multiple misdemeanor criminal trials to verdict.
Ms. Ro was a federal judicial clerk for the Honorable Christina A. Snyder, the Honorable Dean D. Pregerson, the Honorable S. James Otero and the Honorable Robert M. Takasugi for the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
Ms. Ro graduated with honors and research distinction from the University of California Berkeley, with a B.A. in Political Science, and went on to earn her J.D. from Seattle University School of Law.
She is a member of the Los Angeles Copyright Society, the Los Angeles Intellectual Property Law Association and Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles.
